‘The Big Band Theory’ is what is thought to have created the universe. It is believed by experts that our solar system was created many millions of years ago from a burning hot prehistoric situation. This situation/condition allows the Earth to continue expanding today. However, although these people are experts and work tirelessly to find out what created Earth, the solar system will continue to baffle people as no-body really knows what formed the universe or life on our planet Earth. It is believed that there is only life on our planet, although we can’t discount that ours is the only solar system out there. In our solar system there are eight planets, excluding the sun, as the sun is star and also known by the name Sol in astronomy terms. The sun looks like a huge fireball which glows yellow and red. It is not on fire, the reason is looks this way is because it has nuclear reactions in its core, these reactions are hot enough to enable the sun to glow. The sun itself is bigger than Earth by up to a million times. Without the sun there would be little in the way of life on Earth.

Pluto is discounted by scientists as being a planet as it is so small, it is named a dwarf planet, and it is for this reason that there are now only eight planets in our solar system, this is due to the fact that Pluto is no longer considered big enough to rank as a planet. It is also a planet which scientists know the least about, as no probes have ever been sent to Pluto to test the surface, as they have for other planets. There are however three moons which are associated with this dwarf planet the biggest of which is known as Charon.

Mercury is definitely the place to be if your aim is to loose a few pounds on the scales, as a person who ways around 69 pounds on Earth would weight around 26 pounds on Mercury. Mercury however suffers from extreme weather conditions which makes life on this planet non existent, during the day the suns heat is so intense that any living creature could literally burn to death. At night the extreme cold could kill too. Mercury has no moons.

Mars is the only other planet in our solar system that gets scientists and researches exited. The very mild temperature and temperament of this planet means that it is very similar to our planet Earth, and there is evidence on Mars to suggest that it too was once very similar to Earth. Evidence of lakes, streams and rivers can be seen. Unfortunately over the years Mars atmosphere has evaporated into the outer space. It would be very exiting to know that there has been other life out their in our solar system. Surely there can’t be just our planet with life on.
