Up until a decade or so ago astronomers believed that the earth was actually a part of a solar system consisting of nine planets all that changed when scientists discovered the tenth planet in our solar system. As research into our solar system continues there is also speculation of whether or not there are more planets in our solar system. The size of our solar system is still up for debate as there is no conclusive proof that states that our solar system just consists of ten planets.

Astronomy is probably one of the oldest and the most important areas of scientific study which was initially probably sparked by man’s curiosity about the starts and the moon it saw in the night skies.
